Oppo R handset appears with the octa-core Snapdragon 615 under the hood

Out of China today comes word of a new Oppo handset, powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 615. The Oppo R is a metal-framed device that resembles the previously introduced Oppo R1C. The new "R-series" handset has a svelte design and supports the use of dual SIM slots with 4G LTE connectivity.



The Oppo R features a 5-inch display with resolution of 1080 x 1920. That works out to a pixel density of 441ppi.
