Earlier this month, AT&T started rolling out the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S4, and now it looks like Verizon is getting ready to update its version of the handset to the same Android version. The new update from Verizon will update the software to build number LRX22C.I545VRUGOC1. With the Samsung Galaxy S4 launched more than a couple of years ago, it's nice to see that the two largest US carriers are updating the handset to the latest major version of Android.

The update will be gradually rolled out to Verizon customers rocking the Samsung ...

LG G4 specs review: altered beast

Introduction
When it launched in May last year, the LG G3 was certainly an impressive fiend. It was the first smartphone to ship with a quad-HD resolution display, in addition to a terrific spec sheet, spearheaded by the innovative laser auto-focus system. Thanks to moving a good six months ahead of the industry, LG made the LG G3 stay relevant to this day, even as lower-priced and better performing devices eventually matched its superiority. Among these is the new LG G4, poised to continue carrying the torch after its predecessor ascends to the Valhalla of smartphones. ...

LG G Stylo and Leon LTE will join the G4 in T-Mobile's line-up

T-Mobile today announced that it's going to be the only US carrier to offer the LG G4 with a brown leather back, while also allowing those who pre-register to win the brand new handset.

But the G4 isn't the only LG-made smartphone that T-Mobile will start selling this spring. Those who find the G4 too expensive will be able to get the LG G Stylo, or the LG Leon LTE.

Introduced earlier this month in South Korea, the LG G Stylo is a mid-range Android Lollipop smartphone with a stylus and a 5.7-inch 720p display. Other features include LTE, a 5 MP front-facing camera, 8 MP rear camera, ...

Cyanogen divorces OnePlus

The partnership between custom Android OS producer Cyanogen and phone manufacturer OnePlus has come to an end. The decision to end the partnership means that Cyanogen will look for new Android phone producers to employ its custom OS. Just a bit more than two weeks ago, the Android 5.0 themed Cyanogen 12 was distributed to owners of the OnePlus One handset.

OnePlus brass was more than just a little miffed last year when shortly after the OnePlus One was launched in India, Cyanogen signed an exclusive deal with Indian phone manufacturer Micromax. This led a court in New Delhi to place a temporary ...

10 reasons why the Galaxy S6 is a better phone than the LG G4

We had quite a blast checking out the LG G4 at a private event ahead of its announcement, and loved what the company achieved with it. The phone definitely feels like it's matured enough to be taken way more seriously than ever before, and it's chock-full with extras and features.

But how does it compare to an already established industry-heavyweight like the Samsung Galaxy S6? In many ways, the two seem to be on par for the most part, but this isn't always the case. Indeed, there are features and qualities that, objectively, are points for Samsung's top shelfer. Granted, the ...

Mophie's Juice Pack for the LG G4 brings 80% extra battery life

The recently-unveiled LG G4 comes with a large-ish 3000mAh battery, but the latest LG flagship also comes with a set of power-hungry specs, with the 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels and its hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset deserving a special mention in this context. If you're worried that the LG G4 won't make it through that two-day camping trip, or even through the day with hardcore usage of the smartphone, a third party accessory for the LG G4 tries to ease all of your worries.

The Mophie Juice Pack for the LG G4 comes with an external battery that can ...

LG G4 vs Motorola Droid Turbo: first look

When the Droid Turbo landed last year, it was the best-spec'd flagship out there, with impossible pixel density, gigantic battery, and a 20 MP shooter. Well, it still has those things, that's why we are clashing Moto's best, the Droid Turbo, against LG's flagship that just got announced, the G4.
Design
Believe it or not, but the Droid Turbo is thicker and heavier than the 9.8mm LG G4, but that's for a good reason, namely the 3900 mAh battery pack inside. Being a phone with a 5.2" screen, however, it is easier to handle with one hand, compared to the G4. The LG G4 has onscreen navigation ...
