HTC sends out invitations for August 19th event; is the Windows Phone 8.1 HTC One (M8) coming?

HTC has sent out invitations to an event that will be taking place on August 19th in New York City. Speculation about what could be unveiled by the manufacturer, ranges from a smartwatch to a Nexus 8 tablet.
