Job listing shows Google gearing up to challenge iOS in the Car with "Projected Mode"

A job listing from car maker Daimler-Benz might have leaked Google's development of an in-dash version of Android to challenge Apple's iOS in the Car. The latter is expected to be officially announced this coming week at the Geneva Motor Show. The in-dashboard OS is expected to be supported by a trio of manufacturers off the bat, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.



The job listing says that Daimler-Benz is seeking a software engineer to help the company with Google's upcoming in-dash system called "Google Projected Mode," which is apparently a way to "seamlessly integrate" an Android powered ...
