Is this the new Sony flagship that "the rest of the world" is getting instead of the Xperia Z4?

When the Sony Xperia Z4 was officially announced by Sony earlier this month, the manufacturer said that the model was being sold in Japan only. Almost immediately, rumors started flying about another flagship phone that Sony is going to produce for the rest of the world. The company is supposed to unveil this second flagship at the end of next month.
