In February, Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy. On Tuesday, the bankruptcy court approved a plan that will turn 1740 Radio Shack locations into Radio Shack/Sprint co-branded stores. Sprint's operation will occupy one-third of each store. Delaware bankruptcy court Judge Brendan Shannon approved the sale of the stores to a hedge fund named Standard General.

In the U.K., Carphone Warehouse CEO Graham Stapleton revealed on Tuesday that his 800 store chain will not be getting the Apple Watch, at least not during the launch of the device. Stapleton says that he would love to have the timepiece available in his stores, but says that Apple is "going another way with it." Based on Stapleton's comments, rumors that Best Buy will be shut out of the Apple Watch launch on April 24th would also appear to be true.

T-Mobile subscribers totin' the LG G3 have not yet received the update to Android 5.0. A look at the carrier's software update page for LG's current flagship device shows that there is no new update available. But using LG's mobile support tool, you might be able to have the update downloaded and installed on your phone in a matter of minutes. This process allows you to get the update directly from LG instead of T-Mobile.
HTC has started informing its customers that the Sense TV app will be shuttered starting on April 30th. This feature allows an HTC One (M7) and an HTC One (M8) handset to be used as a smart TV remote using the IR blaster on the top of the device. On April 30th, the app will be be shut down and both One (M7) and One (M8) users (Android and Windows Phone) will be affected.
Back in December, we passed along the word from a reliable source that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha would be updated to Android 5.0 by the end of the first quarter. Earlier this month, we heard that China-based Xiaomi is about to commemorate its 5th birthday (which happens to be today, by the way) with a new device announcement, and it turns out that this is indeed the case. The so-called "Apple of China" just lifted the veil off of its newest device, the Redmi 2A, which proudly joins the ranks of the affordable members of Xiaomi's entry-level range with its ultra-low starting price of 599 yuan (which is roughly $96).

The Huawei P8 will be unveiled on April 15th at an event in London. Recently, an alleged image of the device was leaked by @OnLeaks which revealed a metal frame and chamfered edges. On Monday, the P8 was certified in China by TENAA, which is the country's version of the U.S. FCC. According to the agency, there will be six different versions of the Huawei P8 with three of them being carrier variants of the phone.
In India the other day, Xiaomi sold out two weeks worth of inventory for its Xiaomi MiPad tablet in just one hour. The tablet went back on sale yesterday in the country as inventories were re-stocked. While you can already pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in the US, the two smartphones won't be properly released before April 10. LG's next flagship device, the LG G4, will be unveiled at a media event on April 28th. The manufacturer has started sending out invitations for the event telling recipients to "Save the Date". One of the new features available on the HTC One M9 allows you to customize the handset using themes that you create yourself. To make it easier to create different themes, HTC is offering a website aptly named HTC THEMES.
