Huawei launches its entry-level 64-bit Ascend Y550 in the UK

Huawei has announced an official UK launch date and price for its affordable 64-bit handset – the Ascend Y550. It will be available on October the 15th for a price of $160 (£99.99) through various retailers and network providers in the country.



The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 – one of the company's first 64-bit chipsets to hit the market. It's coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, a modest 1 GB of RAM, and just 4 GB of (expandable) storage.
