Humor: The new Unicode emojis bring a familiar look to messaging

Okay, we get it, emjois do make life more interesting, at least as far as messaging goes. No doubt there are some purists out there that just miss the sideways text-based emoticon faces that started the whole thing.



Our keyboards were a veritable goldmine of emotional expression. Who doesn’t like the classic ;-) or (-_-) or :-P or whatever. The text based faces were getting so advanced it was literally its own code base language (seriously, there is a code for male pattern baldness: a€:-| …really).
