Apple to use bayonet-style mounts for interchangeable lenses on the iPhone 6?





The iPhone 6 might come with a "bayonet attachment mechanism", allowing users to easily snap interchangeable lenses on the back of their devices. This is suggested by a recent patent, granted to Apple today. The company touts that unlike similar "eyelets, hook, and loop fasteners", the described lens-holding mechanism does not deviate from Apple's aesthetics. In addition, Apple's bayonet mechanism is apparently configured to let go if you drop your iPhone, preventing any damage.
