The HTC M8's alleged dual camera system demoed at MWC, computational photography magic and optical zoom in tow?

At MWC 2014, the dual camera system that might be featured in the HTC One's successor - the M8, was demoed. As you may have noticed from leaked images of the phone, there are two cameras on its back, in addition to a front camera, which suggests there may be a new camera system coming. We now learn that the companies behind the system in question are none other than Qualcomm and camera design house Corephotonics.
