
Sony had a box for testing the low-light capabilities of its newly-minted Xperia Z2, with a 20.7 MP Exmor RS sensor, Sony G Lens, and BIONZ image processor. The handset offers plenty of shooting modes, including a low-light one, which automatically switches on if you are using the default Intelligent Auto mode of the handset.
That's exactly what happened at MWC, when the Z2 was set against the iPhone 5s, and the Lumia 1520, using the three phones in the same way - to snap a picture of the contents in a box, mimicking low-light conditions. The image from the Z2 looked much brighter, ...
